Nutrition Support Associate Department: Food & Nutrition Services Schedule: PRN Shift: various shifts Hours: Hours will vary, must be able to work weekends & holidays Job Details: - ability to follow verbal and written instructions - must be able to meet physical demands of position This is a PRN (Per Requested Need) position. Hours can vary. Job Summary: This position is responsible for a variety of patient service tasks related to providing quality patient meals in a timely and efficient manner. The incumbent in this position will support the mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives of Mary Washington Healthcare and must demonstrate a commitment to quality service to patients, physicians, the public and co-workers. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: * Report to work as scheduled on time, in a clean, pressed uniform & safety shoes. * Participates in tray line assembly of patients' meals. * Participates in tray breakdown and dishwashing of patient trays. * Follows "Clean as you Go" procedures to achieve established sanitation and infection control standards. * Practices time management skills to complete all major duties in the time allotted while maintaining quality standards. * Maintains safe work practice and work environment. * Review & complete Mary Washington Healthcare and Sodexo monthly/yearly Mandatory Education. * Maintains good customer service skills and teamwork. * Occasionally delivers late patient meal trays. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform routine tasks. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Available to work weekends and holidays. Ability to communicate verbally.
