The Investment Sales Associate'sresponsibilities are service, sales and marketing focused. The Associateprovides account service to the existing client base, assists the InvestmentCounselor and provides support to the branch network. A strong sales orientationand positive attitude are attributes in this function. The individual must beproactive and capable of multi-tasking. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other Duties maybe performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specificactivities may change from time to time. 1. Managing the calendar to maximizeproductivity by scheduling appointments to minimize travel time and anticipatingthe time frame required for presentation and answering questions. 2. Preparationof information prior to each appointment to insure the efficient use ofappointment time. 3. Updating and maintaining client data utilizing the ClientFocus System. 4. The maintenance of files and records consistent with Complianceguidelines. 5. Create and maintain systematic outreach to the existing clientbase following the guidelines provided in the Practice Development Initiativesonce a prospect becomes a client. 6. Maintain a professional environment andcreate a positive first impression. 7. Recognize and satisfy client needs. Makeappointment referrals if deemed necessary to the Investment Counselor andschedule appointments as appropriate. 8. Respond in a timely manner to all salesinquiries and execute those transactions. 9. Provide "Gold SealService" to existing clients consistent with the full development andmaintenance of the client relationship. Execute the "Perfect ClientExperience" per the BB&T Initiative. 10. Assist clients and staff withquestions and problems relating to client accounts and transactions. 11.Properly record transactions and inquires and see that client files andconfirmations are currently completed and maintained to conform to regulatorypolicies. 12. Handle all clients' and Investment Counselor's current generalinformation pertaining to investment products, yields, returns and markettrends. Also keep current on municipal issues and federal issues, as well asselected Mutual Funds, including the BB&T Asset Management. 13. Provide theRegional Sales Manager and bank management with timely activity reports,referrals generated and sales results as requested. 14. Assist in any specialprojects and support responsibilities as directed by the Regional Sales Manager.15. Continually recognize a BB&T employee's responsibility to represent thetotal bank in all client and outside relationships, and view every publiccontact as an opportunity to sell the total bank and all its services throughappropriate referrals. 16. Create sales and service opportunities by settingappointments with existing clients for the Investment Counselor.
