Global Behavior Therapy Associates specializes in providing ABA Therapy and related services for children and adolescents who present with signs or symptoms associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. We provide diagnosis, assessment and therapy in the home and school settings as well as in our offices in Fredericskburg, VA and Woodbridge VA. All of GBTAs services are based on evidence based interventions provided with care, empathy, and wholistic approach for our clients. The therapist and the team analyses "why" a child engages in maladaptive behaviors to help them to develop most successful strategies to teach new adaptive skills. Parents. Caregivers, siblings, and other professionals in the child? management are taught how to utilize ABA principles so that a child can be successful across various environments.
Job Description
GBTA is in search of a qualified and enthusiastic licensed BCBA to join our team of highly trained specialists. The selected Behavioral Consultants will be supported by our Program Director and a great team of other therapists, tutors, administrative support staff, and program director. We believe in using a approach and are dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals, their families, and the careers of our team of professionals.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be capable of fulfilling the following responsibilities:
? Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and Learning Needs Assessments (in our center, home, school and/or community)
? Develop Behavior Plans and ABA programs to reduce problem behaviors and teach functional skills
? Train Staff Members, supervise ongoing ABA programs and review performance
? Organize, review, report on and maintain data collection for programs
? Conduct Parent/teacher consultations and trainings regarding skill development and problem behaviors
Requirements
? Professional certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst and licensed by the State of Virginia.
? Experience in conducting various assessments such as preference, skills and functional behavior assessments
? Experience in goal development and report writing
? Experience with the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R and AFLS assessments
? Experience in ABA/VB, Incidental Teaching and Discrete Trial teaching
? Strong written and oral expressions, to include report and letter writing, program description, presentations at IEPs, IFSPs, school staff and parent trainings and regional/national conferences
